The Requirement Of A Translator Who Can Translate Polish To English
Last month I went to Poland from England. Being an Englishman I obviously did not know the Polish language, thus I faced a lot of troubles for this reason. I needed someone who could have translated the language, i.e. I wanted a translator Polish to English, but I could not find one.
The problems began from the very start of my visit. The accommodation I was staying in surprisingly did not have any good English speaking attendants. Only the manager could speak to me. From the door keeper to the waiter, all Polish! Annoyed I decided to take a walk around the hotel. While wandering, I came across a Flower vendor - beautiful daffodils and cute roses packed her flower bouquet.
I was to ask her about the price of one flower bunch and this lady simply kept staring at me for 5 long minutes. Having already gotten used to the treatment I made a decision to find a young boy who know how to translate Polish to English. Yet as I said I searched, but could not find one. The trip thus had this type of incidences all the while.
Fortunately my job was not of talking with the Polish people very much, so I was able to concentrate on my work. Sometimes such events occurred to amuse me, that people can be so reluctant to learn the international language. You can say that was real patriotism, but in the search of true patriotism they lost a few foreign currency that could have had some impact on the economy!
But I was also ignorant to go into a foreign language nation and not understanding anything about them. Now that I have returned, I am learning the Polish language - at least partially. Finally as they say in Polish - pozegnanie. (I used a translation Polish to English software for the last statement)
